Performance is a product feature.
Building for the moment between a tap and a response.

People experience performance as confidence. When an action responds quickly and predictably, the product feels dependable. That makes performance an experience concern from the beginning.
We start with the critical path. Render the information people need first, defer work that can wait, and make loading states honest. Measuring real devices matters more than assuming everyone has the newest hardware.
A performance budget gives design and engineering a shared constraint. Image size, JavaScript, network requests, and animation all have a cost. Knowing that cost helps us spend it where it adds the most value.
We treat performance as continuous work. As features evolve, the original experience should remain quick, understandable, and useful.
